Credits and licences: Carrom Talk, Ludo Talk and the other Talk apps

This one page covers the Dreamaspect Technologies LLC game apps that share this site: Carrom Talk, Ludo Talk, and the other Talk apps and GabbleGames. Each section says which apps ship what; if an app is not named, it does not ship it. Thank you to the artists and open projects below.

Art and images

Boards, pucks, strikers, dice, tokens and every icon inside the apps are drawn by us in code. App icons are drawn by us. Chess pieces and boards (Chess Mingle) are drawn by us.
The Luxe board and token textures (marble, jade, wood and the like in Carrom Talk and Ludo Talk) and the board pictures are generated with AI (Google's Gemini image models, from our own written prompts) and then edited by us.
Robot players' portraits are generated with AI (Google's Gemini image models). Every robot is badged as a robot in its seat, on its card and in the results.
The pictures on our landing pages that show people are AI-generated illustrations, not photographs of real customers or players.

Sounds

Dice roll (roll.wav, Ludo Talk): cut from Kenney's Casino Audio pack (CC0, kenney.nl). No credit is owed; we give it anyway.
Sound effects for hits, rails, pockets, slides, the shot, fouls, the queen and the end of a game (Carrom Talk), for a piece's place and take, and for the app's start, reward, purchase, win and finish cues and a coin match (every app): generated with ElevenLabs Sound Effects under a paid plan that grants commercial use of the output (the coin sounds coins.wav and pot.wav on 2026-11-02), then trimmed and levelled by us.
The search loop, launch, tick, ring tone, step, home, capture, win and tap sounds and Carrom Talk's fireworks: our own synthesis, written as code.
Card-game apps only: Kenney's Casino Audio pack (CC0, kenney.nl) and BMacZero's Playing Card Sounds (CC0, OpenGameArt) for the cards, and ElevenLabs sound effects (as above) for a pass knock, bid token and trump flip.

Fonts and maps

DM Serif Display (every app; Colophon Foundry, via Google Fonts), used for headings and scores: SIL Open Font License 1.1, the licence text.
Flag emoji (every app): the flags cut out of Noto Color Emoji, from Google's noto-emoji: SIL Open Font License 1.1, the licence text.
World map (every app): Natural Earth (public domain), naturalearthdata.com.
On the web, Roboto and Noto fonts for scripts not bundled are fetched from Google Fonts (Apache-2.0 and SIL OFL 1.1); nothing of theirs is bundled.
Card suits (card-game apps only): a subset of DejaVu Sans; its licence is below.
App icons of some Talk apps use outlines of DejaVu Sans Bold glyphs (a chess knight, a "J", a "9", a ball numeral), filled at build time; no font file ships, only the rasterised icon. Same font, same licence below. Carrom Talk's and Ludo Talk's icons are drawn by us.

Card suit font: DejaVu licence

The card suits in the card-game apps are drawn with GGSuits.ttf, a subset of DejaVu Sans Bold 2.37 (renamed, cut down to the four suits and a star). Carrom Talk and Ludo Talk do not ship it. DejaVu is a Bitstream Vera derivative, distributed under the following notices (upstream LICENSE; the same file shipped with this site):
